The primary responsibility of this position is to bag and/or stack ice on pallets.

Duties & Responsibilities

Stack a variety of products, ranging from 6lb to 40lb bags on to standard pallets in a neat and square manner. Help monitor product quality including: bags not tied properly, foreign objects, under weight bags, poor quality ice and any deviation from standards. Learn to start and stop the line when needed. Keep the area safe and report potential hazards to supervisor. Clean immediate work area and entire facility according to the Master Cleaning Schedule. Make and assume other duties and responsibilities required or assigned by management. Adhering to the Code of Business Ethics is essential. Operating Responsibilities

Some decision making ability. Occasionally shut down the line when defects are noted or safety violations observed. Must work in a safe and responsible manner to protect personnel and property.

Education & Experience

Use of basic math and completing simple paperwork is required. Previous line work in a manufacturing facility would be considered an asset but is not necessary, as training will be provided. 

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

Must be able to lift and stack up to 40lbs throughout a 10-12 hour shift. Shift work style atmosphere is common practice with some weekend work required. Must be able to work in a room with temperatures ranging from -10°C to 5°C. While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand for long periods of time.
